Over the years, I've produced a number of talks relating to pediatric compensation models leveraging a series of surveys PCC has done over the years. Although certain attitudes and favor have evolved over time, I find myself returning to the same na...
For a few months, Paul Vanchiere has been teasing our community about a Certified Pediatric Office Executive Program he's been putting together. I've had the privilege of being able to look behind the curtain and it's pretty exciting.
A little over a month ago, I shared a blog about "Why and How Pediatric Practices Should Launch a Recall Initiative Today" that picked up a lot of traffic. The premise was two-fold. First, the trigger for the piece was obviously related to COVID an...
This blog post is adapted from a section of our COVID Webinar last week which PCC then turned into content for our clients. I've removed all the PCC specific advice (how to run these reports, what tools to use, etc.), so this advice goes out to ever...
Back in 2018, I shared the effort of Dr. Brian Bowman to create some amazing posters to explain the value of well visits to your families. They are designed to by displayed in your office so that as mom sits there, she has something educational to l...

I know that quite a few of my readers will be at the PMI event in Miami shortly. I'll be there with a sizable PCC crew, so if you'd like to spend a few minutes of focused chatting let me know and I will gladly carve out some time. Experience tells ...
I am often asked for advice about choosing an EHR. Obviously, my perspective is biased but I think my advice is truthful and honest. In fact, I can (and often do) advocate strongly against working with my employer and to work with a competitor instea...
I had a great time speaking to Drs. Bravo and Rogu on their growing podcast, The Pediatric Lounge, to discuss the state of independent pediatricians and the use of data in a pediatric practice. They are cranking out episodes (which is a good thing) and anyone who supports independent pediatricians should tune in to their effort. What they are doing takes a tremendous amount of work and their guest list is amazing (well, besides me). They turned our conversation into back-to-back episodes (32 and 33), "Independent Pediatric Practice 2022" and "Data Data Data and Managing a Pediatric Office." If you prefer video, you catch up on their YouTube channel.
