Social Media Content Made For Busy Pediatric Practices (getsomed.com)

I was reading a recent PPMA poll about how pediatric practices manage their web sites and I shouldn't have been surprised by the breadth of the answers:

I realize that updating your website and updating your social media accounts are wildly different things, but many of the practice sites I visit either a) embed their social media feeds or b) use Facebook/Instagram as their de facto web sites or c) don't make the proper WWW site-social media connection at all.  Which may be the worst answer of the bunch.

I then recalled the debut of so.med, the social media content creation site for pediatricians, at PMI a few weeks ago.  I love this description:

"...most pediatricians don’t love creating content for social media. And if you own and run your own small- to medium-sized practice, you probably don’t have the cash flow to dedicate to hiring an expensive, fancy firm to do the work for you.

Or maybe you’ve tried outsourcing the task to one of your employees only to realize that, SURPRISE, your office manager isn’t a graphic design whiz or she’s too busy to make the job a priority."

The boldfaced sections are theirs, but I think it's a perfect summary of where most of the practices I work with are at these days.  I decided to reach out to Natalie Clarke from so.med to ask her what's up and the timing was fortuitous.  I am quoting her here:

We are going to put out a discount code for Doctors' Day that will give a full month of service for FREE! Clients won't get charged until the second month. The code is HDD2023. Clients can put the code in during checkout.

So, from March 30th through April 22nd, you can sign up to a service that will curate high quality, pediatric specific social media posts just for you and the first month of service is free.  They have different levels of service (I like the designations: Hands On, Hands Off, Hand Holding), I love that they focus on being science based, and I am a big fan of delegation.

If anyone out there jumps in, let me know how it goes.
