We had a knock-out AAP-endorsed practice management event in Miami two weeks ago. I say "knock out" because every single person who completed the survey at the end of the day gave us a perfect score in the following categories "Speakers's Knowledge o...
We continue to get daily calls and requests for information about the ARRA funding. We were even told by a potential client that they went with a well-known (but little liked) vendor now in order to maximize their ARRA $$, even though the money itsel...
A few years ago I passed a church as a wedding party pushed out onto the lawn at the end of the ceremony. My boys were in the back seat and the younger looked out the window and said out loud, "Dad, I don't want to have to get married."
Apparently, I never ran the piece I wrote about medical missions for the spring SOAPM newsletter. D'oh. I was reminded of this when one of the local Ghanians sent me some pics out of the blue this morning. Enjoy.

An interesting set of survey results entitled "Key Findings from the 2008 Health Tracking Study Physician Survey" by the Center for Studying Health System Change (HSC).
As you know, we held our 4th AAP-endorsed pediatric practice management event in the middle of our annual Users' Conference at Disney this July. I thought it went swimmingly, but of course I'm talking the entire time so I don't give anyone a chance t...
I had a great time speaking to Drs. Bravo and Rogu on their growing podcast, The Pediatric Lounge, to discuss the state of independent pediatricians and the use of data in a pediatric practice. They are cranking out episodes (which is a good thing) and anyone who supports independent pediatricians should tune in to their effort. What they are doing takes a tremendous amount of work and their guest list is amazing (well, besides me). They turned our conversation into back-to-back episodes (32 and 33), "Independent Pediatric Practice 2022" and "Data Data Data and Managing a Pediatric Office." If you prefer video, you catch up on their YouTube channel.
