# Red Flag Rule Suspended and "EHR vs. EMR"

There was some back-and-forth on [PedTalk](http://www.pedsource.com/content/red-flag-rules) the other day (well, Susanne posted something and there was a lot of back-and-forth inside PCC).  It turns out that, as of two days ago, the rules were suspended until at least May, 2009.  You can read the details on an [FTC press release](http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/10/redflags.shtm).

Meanwhile, the folks at softwareadvice.com have put out an interesting little piece [comparing the term ‘EHR’ to ‘EMR’](http://www.softwareadvice.com/medical/ehr-vs-emr-whats-the-difference/) - I particularly enjoy the Google trends graph.

Now I wait for the dishwasher man to show up from Sears.
