# How Much Should I Pay My Employed Clinician?

I will admit it - I am jealous and regret that I didn't come up with this myself. I should have and didn't.  The worst part is that it's so good that I can't really improve on it.

What am I talking about?  PMI's [Provider Compensation Tool](https://www.pediatricsupport.com/how-much-a-practice-can-afford-to-p).

For the last few years, I've lectured about how much a practice should pay an employed clinician.  Too often, I've seen practices effectively subsidize some of their own employees.  Paul Vanchiere put this very simple, but effect, on-line tool together to help you figure out that magic number.

The form doesn't even require explanation.  Just fill in a few key numbers (which you need to know anyway) and figure out if your numbers make sense.
