My meeting with the Pediafed folks was fascinating! I'll have some more to report in the not-too-distant future, I suspect, but it turns out that we have more common goals than I originally understood. One thing that impressed me was how, when I desc...
I am in San Fran, getting ready for tomorrow's AAP NCE meeting. Well, many of the meetings have already started, but the big exhibit hall doesn't open until tomorrow. I had hoped to pick up some of the PCC crew at the airport, but I have a lunch meet...
When asked to address the nature of an IPA on the SOAPM list recently, this is what Chip Harbaugh (the other Chip Har...) had to say. It is worth repeating. I have taken mild grammatic liberty
At the annual AAP NCE meeting in SF next week, we'll be eating and drinking a lot as usual. We'd - and I! - would be delighted to see you if you're there. Even better, if you're a SOAPM member, make sure to come to the (now) annual SOAPM "informal" g...

I wonder what kind of stories the reps tell when they get back to the mothership after a day among the serfs? "Boy, I got this one practice to sign that confidentiality agreement by telling them that we never enforce it..."
I had a great time speaking to Drs. Bravo and Rogu on their growing podcast, The Pediatric Lounge, to discuss the state of independent pediatricians and the use of data in a pediatric practice. They are cranking out episodes (which is a good thing) and anyone who supports independent pediatricians should tune in to their effort. What they are doing takes a tremendous amount of work and their guest list is amazing (well, besides me). They turned our conversation into back-to-back episodes (32 and 33), "Independent Pediatric Practice 2022" and "Data Data Data and Managing a Pediatric Office." If you prefer video, you catch up on their YouTube channel.
