Verden Quarterly Report Released

The Verden Quarterly Report (Q2 2008) has been released! This is an amazing resource and the little comments about each ranking (in the blue box, off to the side of each page) are quite enlightening. And the price is right. Note that Oxford gets a mo...

Busted at C-C-H-I-T

In the midst of our CCHIT Guidance morning, we've been getting a bit of a lecture about how to communicate issues relating to CCHIT. Who speaks for whom, what information we can share, etc. There was, in fact, a slide specifically telling us to call ...

Medicare Veto Results

If you missed it (and I suspect many pediatricians did), Congress surprised many and actually overrode Bush's veto of the Medicare fix. Without launching into a never-ending note about how things really should be done here, at least, is a good summar...

Another OSS Update (+CCHIT)

I am in lovely Chicago prepping for my CCHIT Child Health Group meeting over the next two days. Most of my prep has been practicing saying C-C-H-I-T instead of "C-CHIT". Apparently, the latter is gauche.

Podcasts/Chip Hart

Available on iTunes
I had a great time speaking to Drs. Bravo and Rogu on their growing podcast, The Pediatric Lounge, to discuss the state of independent pediatricians and the use of data in a pediatric practice. They are cranking out episodes (which is a good thing) and anyone who supports independent pediatricians should tune in to their effort. What they are doing takes a tremendous amount of work and their guest list is amazing (well, besides me). They turned our conversation into back-to-back episodes (32 and 33), "Independent Pediatric Practice 2022" and "Data Data Data and Managing a Pediatric Office." If you prefer video, you catch up on their YouTube channel.
