How to Use This Tool
1. Start with the assumptions
Set the estimated administration cost, carrying cost percentage, and total rebates at the top left of the calculator using guidance from the AAP. These assumptions drive the margin comparison.
AAP references: administration cost guidance and vaccine carrying cost guidance.
2. Import the practice data
Upload an Excel or CSV file with the first three columns in this exact order. Header rows are OK. You can also skip the upload and hand-enter any or all values directly in the calculator.

The import fills only the unit volume and average revenue/payment fields for CPT codes already listed in this calculator. It ignores extra columns, blank rows, invalid CPT codes, and CPT codes that are not part of the calculator.
3. Review the manual fields
Inventory cost, proposed administration payment, overhead, carrying cost, and rebates still need to be entered manually. The spreadsheet does not contain enough information to fill those safely.
4. Check duplicates and export
If the uploaded spreadsheet includes the same CPT code more than once, the tool combines the unit volume and calculates a volume-weighted average payment. After reviewing the results, use the Export button to download the completed analysis.
