Primary Vaccine Analysis

Make sure the vaccine products you billed actually line up with the administrations you billed. Radical concept.

Expected additional antigen/component count based on combination products.
This is a warning light, not a compliance conclusion. It will get cranky when combination-vaccine logic and your billing data disagree.

Paste from a code-level volume report. Tabs, commas, and ordinary spaces are OK. Duplicate CPTs are combined. Unknown CPTs are reported at the bottom of the import message.
Manual entry or pasted import. COVID rows default to non-zero only so you don’t have to scroll through yesterday’s aquarium gravel.

This tool compares immunization administration units billed to vaccine product units billed. Primary vaccine work is checked separately from COVID and RSV so one odd category does not contaminate the others.
Start with a code-level procedure volume report. You need only two fields: CPT code and unit volume. Paste those two columns into the import box on the Calculator page, or manually type unit volume directly into the proper section.
The primary comparison counts 90460, 90471, 90472, 90473, and 90474 as routine primary administration units. It does not count 90461 because 90461 is an additional-antigen/component code, not a separate vaccine product administration event.
COVID has its own section at the bottom. Older COVID administration CPTs map to specific COVID product CPT families. The newer 90480 code is counted in the COVID administration total, but it is not manufacturer-specific in this tool, so the product-level detail shows it as unassigned.
RSV has its own section because RSV monoclonal antibody and RSV vaccine product/admin logic does not behave like ordinary pediatric vaccine coding. RSV products are compared to RSV admin codes separately and excluded from the routine primary vaccine match.
v2 keeps the old workbook codes and adds newer CPTs identified in the CDC CPT-to-CVX table and AMA COVID/RSV coding guidance, including 90382, 90587, 90589, 90593, 90611, 90622, 90626, 90627, 90678, 90679, 90683, 90684, 90694, 90758, 90759, and 91323. The commercial names shown are practical references/examples, not payer-specific coding advice or NDC-level mapping.
Useful references: CDC CPT-to-CVX table and AMA COVID-19 and immunization CPT guidance.
Practices should exclude VFC vaccine from the data if their state or payer workflow does not put both product and administration codes on the same kind of claim. Keep the numerator and denominator in the same universe. In other words: no Franken-reports.
