Thanks to my new bf at the AAP (to whom I am significantly indebted), here is a copy of the AAP's response to the proposed RVU changes for 2009. I wrote about this a few weeks ago and would like to remind you all that you have one more day to get you...
I just realized that today's post represents a milestone: 200 entries! Who knew? I started this blog as a lark and it's gotten to the point that if I don't write something every 3 days, I get backed up with too much important information. According t...
In my final installment from Bonnie regarding screening payment challenges, here is a sample Vision Screening Waiver used in a Real Live Pediatric Practice with success. We have already reviewed an Audiogram Appeal Letter and a Typanometry Appeal Let...
The article is a few months old, but it still surprises me. Medical Economics ran a quick review of the growing "doctor's lounge" movement and named PedTalk on its short list of sites to consider. Although it seems odd to be listed among the sponsore...
Over the next 2.5 weeks, I am on vacation. Sadly, in my pathetic world, that means I will be still reading email and even, perhaps, posting to the blog. In order to stretch out my effort, I am going to run a series of quick appeal letters and a patie...
Yes, I'm breaking my promise to post the appeal letter today. However, that's not the promise for which today's entry is titled. Something more important needs to be communicated.
As I work on my great content for tomorrow, I just realized that I haven't blogged about the upcoming Primary Care Audio Conference Series sponsored by Physicians Alliance and produced by PCC.
Before I post some real goodies this afternoon or tomorrow (it's coming, Bonnie!), I thought I'd unload some of my thoughts from the Users' Conference.
The blog is going to be thin this week because I'm dawn to dusk at the Users' Conference. Today is our official Practice Management Conference and I still have to get my "keynote" speech together within the hour! Time to get out of my bathrobe.
I had a great time speaking to Drs. Bravo and Rogu on their growing podcast, The Pediatric Lounge, to discuss the state of independent pediatricians and the use of data in a pediatric practice. They are cranking out episodes (which is a good thing) and anyone who supports independent pediatricians should tune in to their effort. What they are doing takes a tremendous amount of work and their guest list is amazing (well, besides me). They turned our conversation into back-to-back episodes (32 and 33), "Independent Pediatric Practice 2022" and "Data Data Data and Managing a Pediatric Office." If you prefer video, you catch up on their YouTube channel.
