This may be my favorite email of, well, November 2007.  If not the year:

...we spoke to one company who offered 110% Medicare. We countered on the phone with 140, and they called back that the best they could do was 130%!! You were right - it was easy.

Yeah, this "powerhouse" office of five physicians in a part of the country that I always hear referred to as "so packed with pediatricians that we can't drop anything or anyone." Here's your proof, naysayers.  They went from <100% of Medicare to 110% with a letter - and then 130% by picking up the phone.  How hard was that?
