I wonder what kind of stories the reps tell when they get back to the mothership after a day among the serfs? “Boy, I got this one practice to sign that confidentiality agreement by telling them that we never enforce it…”
Here’s one from a client today.
So [MCO] dragged their feet and then finally agreed to
do Fee For Service. So the rep ran into the office,
unannounced, said here is your new contract, sign. I
tried to skim it…and in the first sentence they were
committing us to capitation for the next year. I
pointed this out to the rep and she said it was a
mistake…snatched the contract back and we haven’t
heard from her since. Weird!
