Housecleaning - Important Links and Resources

From my growing pile of interesting links and resources, I offer the following:

  • 2015 NCE Practice Management Flyer - Yours truly is actually speaking twice at this year's NCE, I'd better start working on my material!  Who is going to the NCE?  If someone has any requests for benchmark measures, let me know ASAP.
  • Three helpful ICD-10 WWW sites:
    • http://www.icd10data.com/ - for a quick ICD10 lookup (with ICD9 help), this is where I go most
    • I also use Find-A-Code
    • Here's my favorite, though.  Check out ICD10 Charts.  It takes a few minutes to figure out, but once you do it's invaluable.  For anyone still on paper, start here.
  • I am a big believer in surveys.  Perfect?  No.  But fast, often insightful, and can be used to make change.  For example, right now the AAP asks for your feedback about Value Based Payments.  In other words, what do you like (OR NOT LIKE) about being measured for your money.  Take the survey here.
In my last blog post, I directed everyone to a survey hosted by Physicians' Alliance regarding the extra time that may be required by your EHR.  The results are forthcoming - and fascinating - but check out my shorter version to your right.  How much extra time do you spend charting every day?
